Marine Terrace Affordable Housing

This new affordable housing project in Queens, NYC has just been completed. Gran Kriegel Architects led planning and design for two new affordable housing buildings in Related’s seven-building Marine Terrace project in Astoria, Queens. The pair of low-income rental buildings replace a row of single-story garages and provide a total of 53 units.

The first building will hold 21 studio and single-bedroom apartments across more than 21,000 s.f. of residential space, with typical apartment units measuring 1,027 square feet. The second building, at 25,867 s.f., will offer a mix of 32 studio and and one-bedroom apartments fronting on 18th Street. The ground floor design includes a community room, gym, and bike storage.
