These new masonry bearing wall buildings have about 50 efficiency apartments. They were built with funding from the New York State Office of Mental Health and house mentally ill individuals, some of who were homeless. In addition to the apartments, the residence contains lounges on each floor, a common kitchen and dining room, laundry room and social services offices.
